The Gilded Realms

About this board game

The Gilded Realms is a euro-style kingdom-building board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting around 120 minutes. Set in a medieval fantasy world, it challenges players to rule ambitious young kingdoms and compete for the title of ultimate regent.

This hybrid simultaneous turn-based game combines economic management with risk assessment. Each player commands a unique Faction and plans two builds per turn, developing five provinces while managing resources and creating a thriving income.

Prosperity is only part of the challenge. Rival kingdoms and the invading Sarrukar forces threaten your ambitions, so armies and fortifications are essential to defending your realm. Players can also send armies into opponents’ Hinterlands to raid their Caravans and claim Endeavour cards for themselves.

• Respond to economic events by managing your kingdom’s stance.
• Defend against rival kingdoms and the invading Sarrukar forces.
• Raid opposing Caravans and take Endeavour cards.

Careful planning can create new opportunities for wealth. Successful caravan trading earns Gold and Gems, while economic events test how effectively you manage your kingdom’s stance.

After the 12th round, players receive prestigious titles according to their Victory Points. The highest-scoring player becomes the Serpens Champion and wins The Gilded Realms, making every build, trade, defense, and calculated raid part of the race for ultimate recognition.
