About this expansion

This War of Mine: Days of the Siege is a story-rich survival game expansion for 1–6 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Released in 2020, it brings new narratives, rules, characters, and challenges to the war-torn city of Pogoren.

Its centerpiece is Forlorn Hope, a story-driven, three-act War Campaign featuring more than 750 new scripts. A new board presents the Map of Pogoren, while completely new rules and over 50 tokens support dramatic choices that can affect the city’s future.

Your group is caught between Vyseni rebels and increasingly numerous Grazni soldiers. As resources become dangerously scarce, old grudges return among the city’s inhabitants and rumors of infiltrating freedom fighters spread through the streets. The campaign asks how much survival may cost—and whether another outbreak of hostilities can be endured.

The Orphans of War module offers a distinct perspective on the well-being of children in a city under siege, while the dog components can add an animal companion to your group or support dedicated scripts. Together, these additions deepen the human consequences of the conflict.
