About this board game

Tides is a 1–2 player beachcombing game that takes about 20 minutes to play. Collect items from the shore, create interesting sets, and score points as the tide shifts between low and high.

During Low Tide, take cards from the row to collect beach items. Driftwood, sea glass, and other beautiful finds become the ingredients for your scoring plans, but the changing tide means you cannot be sure what will be available next.

When High Tide arrives, flip the double-sided cards. Their reverse sides reveal scoring conditions, giving you new ways to evaluate the items you have collected. You can score a set during either Low Tide or High Tide by combining your collected items with a scoring card.

The tide is always changing, so each cycle brings fresh possibilities and decisions. You may be gathering materials for a sculpture, searching for sea glass for earrings, or simply looking for the most rewarding combination of finds.

Play continues until a player reaches 50 points, then finish the current Low Tide or High Tide cycle. The player with the highest score wins. With its compact play time and focus on collecting and set-building, Tides turns a stroll along the beach into a contest of timing and clever combinations.
