About this board game
Timeline: Polska is a historical card game for 2–8 players, with each game taking around 15 minutes. Players race to place events from Polish history in the correct chronological order and be the first to get rid of every card in hand.
The game includes 110 cards. Each card depicts a historical event from Polish history on both sides, while the year of the event appears on only one side. This creates the central challenge: players must judge where a card belongs before checking its date.
- Take turns placing cards into a shared chronological row.
- Reveal the date after placing a card.
- Keep correctly positioned cards and draw a replacement when a placement is incorrect.
On a turn, a player places one card from their hand into the timeline on the table. If its date fits correctly in chronological order with all the other cards, it remains in place. If not, the card is removed from play, and the player takes another card from the deck.
The first player to successfully play all their cards wins. However, if several players run out of cards during the same round, the game enters a bonus round: everyone else is eliminated, and each player who went out receives one more card.
If only one of those players has no cards after the bonus round, that player wins. If more than one player still qualifies, play continues until a single player goes out. Released in 2016, Timeline: Polska combines a compact playing time with a chronological test of Polish history.
