About this board game

To The Last Man! is a strategic-level World War I wargame for 2–3 players, with games lasting about 120 minutes, covering all aspects of the Western Front.

Players use cards to activate units, receive replacements, and introduce pivotal technological, military, and political events. They alternate playing cards and moving pieces, creating an unusually interactive sequence with no downtime while the other player waits to take a turn.

Combat gives both sides a role in every engagement, with each player rolling dice. At the start of the campaign game and the 1914 scenario, players draw on cards representing prewar ammunition stocks, reserves, and planning. Once those supplies are spent, additional cards and new units must be purchased.

Limited resources make every offensive a difficult decision. Players may be unable to launch a major attack every turn, forcing them to conserve strength and prepare for the next Big Push.

  • Scenarios covering every year from 1914 through 1918
  • A hypothetical Fuller or 1919 offensive
  • Prewar plans and setups, including the French 1909 plan and German Schlieffen Plan
  • Great Offensives, Stosstruppen, tanks, gas attacks, cavalry, reserves, siege guns, and forts
  • Events affecting other fronts and rules for huge dogfights

From opening-war preparations to the final campaigns, To The Last Man! combines card play, movement, combat, and resource management into a demanding study of strategy on the Western Front.
