About this board game
Triangulation is a word-association guessing game for 3–8 players, with rounds that take about 20 minutes to play. Each round, one side gives three clues designed to lead teammates toward a secret answer.
The twist is built into the order of play. Opponents get to guess first after hearing the first two clues, so the opening hints must be carefully chosen. They need to be obscure enough to keep the answer hidden, without making the final guess impossible.
After the first two clues have been used, the third clue gives the clue-giver a chance to make the answer clear to their teammates. The central challenge is finding the right balance between concealment and clarity: say too much too soon, and opponents may solve it first; say too little, and your team may miss the connection.
Every round of Triangulation turns a simple sequence of clues into a test of timing, interpretation, and word association. Players must consider how different people may connect ideas while trying to communicate with their own teammates more effectively than their opponents.
Released in 2026, Triangulation focuses on the tension created by its three-clue structure. It offers a compact guessing experience for groups of 3–8 players, with each round asking whether you can stay obscure for just long enough, then become perfectly clear when it matters.
