About this expansion
Tribune: Expansion is a 2008 board game for 2–6 players, with an approximately 90-minute playing time. It brings a new family into the political scheming of Rome: the Bruti.
The Roman Empire thrives on conquest and wealth, and Rome has become the capital of the world. Countless slaves serve the rich while mingling with the city’s citizens, but prosperity has not brought peace. Envy and murder are gaining the upper hand as the republic’s days appear to be numbered.
Against this tense backdrop, an emperor rises to rule both the city and the empire. At the same time, the Bruti enter the struggle for power. They arose from a tribe subjugated during the founding of Rome and belong to the city’s oldest patrician families.
The Bruti are not an ordinary political presence. This new party works in the shadows to achieve its goals, showing no scruples about taking for themselves what other families believe belongs to them. Their arrival adds another force to Rome’s dangerous contest for influence.
- A setting of wealth, conquest, intrigue, envy, and murder

With its focus on Rome’s shifting political order and the ambitions of competing families, Tribune: Expansion presents a dark vision of a city on the brink of transformation.
