About this board game

Warehouse 51 is a 2015 auction game for 3–5 players, with sessions lasting about 45 minutes. Set in the year 2038, it places players in the role of multimillionaires from across the globe, competing to acquire extraordinary artifacts for their collections.

After decades of borrowing money from the rest of the world, the USA has finally gone bankrupt. In a desperate move, the federal government opens its most secret storehouse and auctions the treasures held inside Warehouse 51.

The collection contains legendary objects drawn from myth and folklore. Among the artifacts available are:

  • Aladdin’s Lamp
  • The Hammer of Thor
  • The Golem
  • The Philosopher’s Stone

These are not ordinary collectibles. Many of the items have strange paranormal effects that can influence the game, adding an unusual layer of uncertainty to the auction. Even more importantly, many of the artifacts are fakes.

That combination makes every potential purchase significant. Players are not simply seeking impressive objects for their collections; they are also facing a selection filled with mysterious powers and deceptive items. The treasures of Warehouse 51 may be famous, valuable, or supernatural—but they may not be genuine.

With its secret government warehouse, global cast of wealthy collectors, and extraordinary relics, Warehouse 51 offers a distinctive auction setting built around legendary artifacts and paranormal surprises. It is a game of pursuing remarkable treasures while confronting the possibility that appearances can be misleading.
