About this board game

Witchcraft! is a fast-playing, card-driven solitaire game for 1 player, with sessions lasting about 40 minutes. Lead a coven of witches through a fantasy world where magic is real, monsters threaten the village, and every use of power risks exposing your secret.

Wildegrens is in danger: crops are failing, animals are dying, and villagers are disappearing. Using a hidden-and-revealed mechanism, you decide when to use magic to overcome challenges. Revealing your witches can help you complete missions and defeat enemies, but it may also cause fearful villagers to imprison you for witchcraft.

At the beginning of each game, assemble your coven from a deck of cards representing families of women. Selecting multiple witches from the same family makes that family more powerful, while different families focus on distinct tasks. Their abilities can help reveal challenges, increase attack power, uncover the jurors’ conviction, or capture familiars to aid your fight.

• Choose three jurors, their missions, and their unique challenges.
• Face villains such as the Headless Horseman, Baba Yaga, or the Scarecrow.
• Explore 56 possible juror combinations, creating varied challenges and monsters.
• Lose the game after failing two missions or losing five villagers.

Completing the missions is only part of the struggle. The three jurors will ultimately decide your fate, and their convictions are strong. Reveal what they believe and discover whether your actions have persuaded them that magic is not evil and that your coven is protecting the village.

With its tense choices, hidden information, and changing combination of enemies and objectives, Witchcraft! turns a village’s desperate defense into a focused solo battle against both supernatural threats and suspicion.
