About this board game
Wrath of Dragons is a board game for 2–6 players, with a playing time of 90 minutes, in which each player assumes the role of a dragon seeking to become the most successful and feared force in the Old World.
Over the course of six centuries, the dragons fly into different regions of the Old World and leave devastation in their wake. Players lay waste to settlements, scorch fields, snatch livestock, take gold, and capture nobles as they build a record of destruction.
The game focuses on the consequences of each dragon’s actions. The devastation, destruction, and fear caused across the centuries are ultimately scored, turning the damage inflicted on the Old World into victory points.
- Play as a dragon competing against 1–5 other players.
- Fly into different regions of the Old World.
- Lay waste to settlements and scorch fields.
- Snatch livestock, take gold, and capture nobles.
- Score the destruction and fear caused after six centuries.
When the six centuries have passed, the dragons’ accumulated devastation is counted. The dragon that earns the most victory points wins, making the final score a measure of the destruction and fear each player has caused.
With its distinctive dragon roles, Old World setting, and century-spanning arc, Wrath of Dragons presents a contest built around destruction and scoring. Each game follows the dragons’ campaign from their flights across the regions to the final reckoning of their deeds.
