About this board game

Bezzerwizzer is a quiz game for 2–12 players that takes about 45 minutes to play. Released in 2007, it challenges players to judge their own knowledge, answer questions across 20 categories, and use special tokens to gain an advantage.

At the start of a turn, category tiles are drawn from a bag and sorted on a player board according to how knowledgeable the player feels in each category. The categories are then worth different amounts depending on their ranking: a correct answer in the category considered the weakest earns 1 point, while a correct answer in the strongest category earns 4 points.

The game includes 3 additional tokens for each player. A Z token lets a player swap one of their categories with a category belonging to another player; after it is used, the token is out of the game for that round. Two B tokens can be played when a player believes they can answer a question that an opponent may not know, offering the chance to earn additional points.
