About this board game

Pulsar 2849 is a Euro-style board game for 2–4 players that takes about 90 minutes to play. In a future where humanity has harnessed the power of pulsars, players explore space and work to distribute that energy throughout the stars.

The game lasts only eight rounds. At the start of each round, dice are rolled based on the number of players and sorted by value. Players then draft dice from a communal pool, using their selections to purchase actions and shape their own route to victory.

Dice can drive a wide range of spacefaring and technological developments, including:

• Flying your survey ship
• Taking a Gyrodyne
• Developing a pulsar
• Building one or more energy transmitter vectors
• Patenting a technology
• Buying a dice modifier
• Completing a special project in your headquarters and unlocking Gate Run

As the game progresses, players discover and explore the universe while building energy-distribution infrastructure on a cosmic scale. Everyone also works toward common goals, adding shared objectives to the competition.

Players score points each round based on what they have discovered and explored. With many possible paths to victory, Pulsar 2849 lets you blaze your own trail to a bright future through careful dice drafting, exploration, technology, and ambitious infrastructure.
