About this board game

Tower Up is a city-building board game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Released in 2024, it places you in the role of an architectural firm competing to renovate the city’s downtown.

You are not the only firm working on the project, so careful planning is essential. Manage your resources, consider where to build, and avoid leaving too many valuable opportunities for your competitors. Each construction can help your plans while also shaping the options available to everyone else.

On your turn, choose one of two actions:

• Pick a card and take the corresponding resources.
• Construct a new building by choosing an empty spot, paying the cost associated with adjacent buildings, placing a roof, and earning the corresponding points.

The construction process makes location an important part of every decision. An empty spot may suit your immediate plans, but the buildings around it determine the cost you must pay. At the same time, the space you leave open could become an attractive opportunity for another architectural firm.

Balancing resource collection with timely construction is at the heart of Tower Up. Gather what you need, select your building sites carefully, and build in a way that supports your race for points. With multiple firms competing over the same downtown renovation, every turn offers a choice between preparing for a future construction and claiming a site now.
