About this board game

Tunisia II is an Operational Combat Series game for 1–2 players, covering the campaign in Northwest Africa from November 1942 through May 1943, with playing times ranging from 2 to 50 hours.

The campaign begins with only a few units in play, then rapidly expands as both sides reinforce the theater. This changing tempo leads to a dramatic climax: Rommel’s offensive at Kasserine and the uncertainty surrounding the variable entry of Montgomery’s 8th Army.

After the Kasserine offensive, the game turns toward the slow destruction of Axis forces in North Africa. Tunisia II uses the latest OCS series rules and was updated to fit more closely with other 1942–43 titles, including DAK II, Case Blue, and Sicily II. Work from Beyond the Rhine is also reflected in the update.

The game operates at a detailed operational scale, with each turn representing half a week and each hex covering 5 miles, or 8 kilometers. Units range from companies to brigades, providing a framework for following the campaign as it develops across the map.

  • Two 22 × 34-inch full-color mapsheets

  • Two OCS v4.2 Charts & Tables booklets and two unit arrival cards
