Arkham Horror is a cooperative adventure game for 1–8 players, with an approximate playing time of 180 minutes, set in H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos.

Players explore the town of Arkham while attempting to stop unmentionable horrors from spilling into the world. The game places the group against a threatening supernatural situation, with success depending on their shared efforts.

Cooperation is central to the experience. Everyone takes part in the adventure, but the danger is severe: it is possible for all players to go insane and lose the game.
