About this board game

Longboard is a 30-minute board game for 2–4 players about drafting, trading, and building impressive surfboards. Set on a beautiful beach, it challenges players to establish their surfboard-shaping shop as the best in town.

On each turn, take two actions to develop your personal supply and construct boards. Add a card from the deck to your face-up supply, or use a card from that supply to start or lengthen a board. Every card in a board must share the same color, unless it is wild, and each new card must have a value equal to or greater than the card beneath it.

The trading action lets you place one or more supply cards in an opponent’s supply, then take a single card from their supply. The card you take must have a value lower than the total value of the cards you gave them, and you use it to start or extend a board.

• Build boards with cards in matching colors, using wild cards where available.
• Complete a board by giving it at least four cards.
• Score the stickers shown on cards in completed boards.
• Watch for bonuses tied to the longest completed board, the most completed boards, and four random objectives.

A player can choose to end the game after having 3–4 completed boards, including at least one board with 7 or more cards. If nobody does so before the deck runs out, the game ends then. Players score sticker points on completed boards, lose points for incomplete boards, and add any earned bonuses.

With its combination of card drafting, rising-value construction, and player-to-player trading, Longboard turns every supply into a potential opportunity—and every board into a race for the biggest waves of points.
