About this board game
TSCHAK! is a card game for 2–4 players that takes about 40 minutes, challenging you to raid a monster-filled keep, claim valuable treasures, and manage hands that everyone will eventually share.
Each player begins with the same mix of wizards, warriors, dwarfs, and an artifact. During each round, players use these cards to form adventurer teams and compete across three levels of the keep. The strongest team usually claims the treasure, while the weakest takes the monster and its potentially painful penalty.
- Three dungeon levels: Reveal cards in different patterns as you advance through the keep.
- Distinct character powers: A chameleon wizard can match the strongest wizard on the table, while an artifact doubles the weakest character on your team.
- Careful hand management: After a round, each player passes their entire hand to the left, creating new possibilities with familiar cards.
- Varied scoring: Treasures and monsters can provide fixed points, squared-value scoring, or special abilities.
Team strength is determined by the total value of the three differently colored characters. Ties are resolved through a hierarchy involving wizards, special wizard features, warriors, and other character strengths, making every reveal matter. After the three assault levels, players compare their final card for a small gold reward.
Across four rounds, the same hands circulate among the table, so success depends on reading opponents, planning ahead, and making the most of cards that another player has already used. Some treasures can even remove a monster from your collected tiles, while legendary rings of power offer an especially enticing objective.
With double-guessing, tactical card play, and a touch of luck, TSCHAK! rewards players who can turn shared information into the most successful expedition.
