About this board game
Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Melee at Murdershroom Marsh is a 2–6-player board game with an approximately 30-minute play time, released in 2017.
This spell-flinging battle introduces several new ways to enhance your spells and shape their effects. Cantrips let you add extra effects by discarding additional cards, giving your spells more zing when you are ready to spend more resources.
The game also adds Bad Trips, where the colors—and the colors—become especially important. When your spell contains lots of different glyphs, a Bad Trip card resolves twice, creating an extra twist in the spell’s resolution.
- Cantrips: Discard extra cards to add effects to your spell.
- Bad Trips: Spells with lots of different glyphs can resolve a Bad Trip card twice.
- Dual-Glyphed Deliveries: Make matching glyphs easier to achieve.
- Everlasting Treasures: Most Treasures do not go away when you die.
Dual-Glyphed Deliveries offer relief when matching glyphs has been difficult, while the new Everlasting feature changes how Treasures persist. Most Treasures in this installment remain with you even after death, letting you collect them all.
With its combination of extra spell effects, glyph-based twists, repeat Bad Trip resolutions, and persistent Treasures, Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Melee at Murdershroom Marsh adds fresh innovations to the battle wizard experience.
