Interceptor Ace: Daylight Air Defense Over Germany, 1943-44 is a solitaire tactical game for 1 player, with sessions lasting about 180 minutes. Set during World War II, it places you in command of a German fighter pilot defending against incoming American bombers.

Each turn covers several days and leads to another sortie. Check raid information and weather, take off, fly toward the expected interception area, and search location boxes for combat opportunities. Dogfights can continue through multiple rounds before you attempt to return to base and land, with weather affecting both ends of the mission.

Your pilot’s story develops across repeated missions. Successful sorties can provide kills, Prestige, Experience, awards, and promotions. Spend your hard-earned resources to purchase skills, improve your crew, request a newer fighter, or transfer to a base group closer to the action. A wingman may even pull you out of a dangerous situation if he remains airborne.

• Choose from 30 fighter models across the Bf109, Bf110, Me410, and Fw190 families.
• Operate from seven geographic base groups, including Dutch, Bremen, French, Ruhr, Munich, Münster, and Frankfurt.
• Manage pilot, wingman, and rear gunner skills alongside weapons, damage, ammunition, and crew status.
• Play through a detailed solitaire system with optional cooperative and competitive modes.

Built on the action-focused system used in Nightfighter Ace, Interceptor Ace combines technical detail with a narrative centered on your pilot and crew. The objective is to survive numerous sorties, become an ace, and pursue the distinction of becoming the war’s top “Viermot” killer.

Play continues until your pilot is shot down and killed or reaches February 1944. With its extensive historical background, individual aircraft and weapon systems, and meaningful crew-improvement decisions, Interceptor Ace delivers a tense campaign of daylight air defense over Germany.
