Vietnam: 1965-1975 (2nd Edition) is a two-player strategic and operational simulation of the Vietnam War, with a listed play time of 6,000 minutes. This updated reimplementation of the Victory Games classic covers the conflict’s military and political dimensions across detailed scenarios and campaign games.

Each year is divided into Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter, with two turns per season—roughly six weeks per turn. On a map scaled at approximately six miles per hex, players generally command battalions and regiments. During the operational phase, players conduct operations to destroy enemy forces, clear roads, capture towns and cities, or reposition units.

The NLF player determines who gets to operate, creating an unusual rhythm for the game’s operations. Campaign games also include Seasonal Interphases, when each player decides whether and how many additional units or resources to commit to the conflict.

Vietnam: 1965-1975 includes systems for hidden VC units, search and destroy missions, special operations, firepower, airmobility, riverines, brigade-level formations, limited intelligence, and auxiliary units. National morale, pacification, ARVN effectiveness, strategic bombing, blockade, and population control add further political and operational considerations.
