About this board game

Sides is a brain-teasing cooperative word game for 2–9 players, with each game taking about 60 minutes.

Every round, two players become detectives and work together to uncover a mystery word. The remaining players act as witnesses, guiding the detectives with carefully chosen clues.

To give a clue, a witness must choose one word that starts with the letter at either end of the letter-card line. This simple restriction makes every choice matter, encouraging players to focus and weigh their options before speaking.

The detectives then jointly offer an answer. If they discover the solution, two other players become the detectives and a new mystery word is uncovered. If they do not, the witnesses suggest another clue using a new letter card.
