About this board game

Home Staging is a 30-minute board game for 2–6 players, released in 2023, in which interior design companies furnish rooms according to a floor plan.

Each player has their own plan, while sets of furniture cards for each room are arranged on the table. On a turn, one card is flipped to reveal several possible furniture shapes on its backside. The active player chooses one shape, and then everyone must draw that piece of furniture into their plan.

Careful planning is essential. Furniture must fit while leaving enough space for walls, doors, and a corridor connecting the rooms. Every piece also includes empty fields that must be adjacent to it, helping ensure the furniture remains reachable from the door.

• Flip a card and select one of its available shapes.
• Draw the chosen furniture into your floor plan.
• Use empty fields efficiently to make the furniture fit.
• Score according to how much furniture you successfully place.

The challenge comes from making the most of limited space. To fit everything into the rooms, players need to overlap the required empty fields efficiently without losing the access routes and structural spaces their plans demand.

When all the cards have been flipped, players score based on the amount of furniture they managed to place. A scenario booklet adds variety with several small campaigns and 25 scenarios in total, offering different levels of difficulty. Home Staging combines shared card-driven choices with personal floor-plan decisions for a compact interior design challenge.
