La Bataille de la Moscowa (Third Edition) is a massive historical wargame for 2–8 players, with a listed play time of 1,000 minutes, depicting Napoleon’s battle near Moscow from September 5 to 7, 1812.

French and Russian forces collide across a narrow battlefield as more than 1,000 guns thunder through the lines. The battle is remembered as the single bloodiest day of battle up until World War I, making this a notably expansive treatment of one of the Napoleonic era’s defining clashes.

The game uses a scale of 100 meters per hex. Infantry strength points represent 100 men, cavalry strength points represent 50 men, and each artillery strength point represents two to four guns. This scale places the conflict in a detailed operational setting, with serried ranks of troops and artillery spread across the battlefield.

For players seeking greater depth, La Bataille de la Moscowa is also fully compatible with the advanced Le Reglement de l’An XXX rules. Released in 2011, this edition offers both an accessible rules option and a path to the advanced system.
