About this board game

Little Devils is a trick-taking card game for 3–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Players try to saddle their opponents with negative cards, while avoiding the penalties their rivals are planning to assign to them.

Every little devil scores a penalty point, so each round brings a playful challenge. The goal is not simply to win tricks: you must also watch how cards are played and consider who may end up carrying the unwanted consequences.

Little Devils uses simple rules for a fluid, easy-to-follow experience. Players do not need to follow trump or suit, and they can play either higher or lower than the cards already played.

  • Players: 3–6
  • Play time: approximately 15 minutes
  • Core mechanic: trick-taking with negative cards and penalty points
  • Round twist: the second card played determines the goal

The second card, rather than the first, determines the goal for that round. This unusual timing gives every trick a changing point of focus and makes the opening plays especially important.

Because cards can be played higher or lower and players are not required to follow trump or suit, turns remain flexible. At the same time, opponents are always involved in your plans, creating the teasing and challenges that give the game its mischievous character.

With its short play time, straightforward rules, and continuing stream of penalties, Little Devils is a game you can keep playing. It delivers a devilishly fun take on trick-taking for groups looking for a quick contest of cards, choices, and playful payback.
