About this board game

Festo! is a fantasy board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. You play an ever-hungry halfling in the magical kingdom of Gloutama, visiting the market to gather ingredients for delicious dishes.

Across four rounds, players send their servants to different races in the kingdom. Elves, dwarfs, pixies, trolls, orcs, and wizards each offer opportunities to collect ingredients, but access to them can change from phase to phase.

Every round is divided into two phases. During each phase, three dice determine which races are available. Some races may be completely unavailable, forcing you to decide carefully how many servants to place before the phase is resolved.

• Gather ingredients from the kingdom’s magical races.
• Adapt your plans to the races revealed by the dice.
• Compete for majorities to determine who receives what.

Once servants have been placed, majorities decide the results. You must judge when to commit your servants, which races to pursue, and how to respond when the dice close off valuable options.

With its changing availability and majority-based rewards, Festo! turns a trip to the market into a lively contest between hungry halflings. Gather as many ingredients as possible and cook up dishes that will have every creature in Gloutama licking their fingers.

Released in 2018, Festo! challenges players to discover who can make the cleverest choices across all four rounds and claim the title of the kingdom’s most successful feast-seeker.
