7 Days of Westerplatte

7 Days of Westerplatte is a cooperative war game for 1–4 players, with an approximately 60-minute play time. Players take the roles of Polish commanders defending the Polish Military Depot against the overwhelming German army.

The game is set against the opening of the Second World War. On September 1, 1939, at 04:48, the German battleship Schleswig-Holstein began bombarding the depot, marking a symbolic beginning to the conflict. The 235 Polish defenders fought bravely for seven days.

Working together, players must respond to a range of threats as they attempt to hold the Depot. German attacks include Stuka raids, assaults by land troops, and bombardments from battleships and howitzers.

• Use land mines, mortars, and rifles to hold back attacking German troops.
• Rebuild defensive structures damaged during the fighting.
• Keep Polish morale high while coordinating the defense.

Every part of the defense matters as the commanders confront the enemy’s crushing power. Success means maintaining the position and defending the Depot for the full seven days; failure means succumbing to the German assault.
