Codenames: Critical Role Adventures is a fully cooperative word game for 2–4 players, with missions designed to take about 25 minutes. Set in Exandria, it brings the Critical Role universe to the classic Codenames format through a series of perilous adventures.

One player takes the role of the GM, guiding the rest of the party through each mission. Players work together to interpret clues, make choices, and overcome the challenges presented by a new set of themed words, while each mission adds its own twist to the familiar Codenames rules.

The game offers three separate campaigns inspired by the first three Critical Role campaigns. Across these adventures, players assemble a party of heroes and take on missions that lead toward a final boss encounter.
