About this board game
Asteriated Grail is a team-based card game for 4 or 6 players, with a play time of about 30 minutes. Players split into two teams and sit in alternating positions, setting the stage for attacks across the opposing side.
Each team begins with a fixed number of hit points. During the game, players play cards to attack any player belonging to the opposing team. A successful attack causes the attacked player to draw cards, changing the size of that player’s hand.
Hand limits are an important part of the contest. If a player’s hand surpasses the permitted limit, the team’s hit points are reduced. This creates a direct connection between successful attacks, card draws, and the pressure placed on each team’s remaining health.
Successful attacks also benefit the attacking team in another way: the team receives a crystal. Crystals can be exchanged for cups, giving teams a second way to build toward victory while they attempt to reduce the opposing team’s hit points.
- Play with 4 or 6 players divided into two teams.
- Attack players on the opposing team with cards.
- Gain crystals from successful attacks and exchange them for cups.
- Win by collecting 5 cups or reducing the opposing team’s hit points to zero.
In Asteriated Grail, teams must pursue both available victory conditions: gathering enough cups or wearing down the rival team completely. With its alternating seating arrangement, card-based attacks, hand-limit consequences, and crystal economy, the game presents a compact team competition built around shared hit points and clear objectives.
