About this board game

Spexxx is a dice-and-line-building game for 2–4 players, with a play time of 60 minutes. It combines the roll-and-score feel of Yahtzee with the connected lines of Connect Four.

On a turn, a player rolls five dice and places a cube on the board in the square matching that exact dice combination. Every placement helps build a position, but the aim is not simply to claim as many spaces as possible.

  • Roll five dice to determine a combination.
  • Place a cube on the matching board square.
  • Create lines of three or more cubes in your own color.
  • Score points while weighing safer choices against riskier combinations.

When you place three or more of your own cubes in a row, you score points. Players can pursue easier combinations for a more reliable path, or take a risk by aiming for difficult combinations that score more points accordingly.

The board creates a contest between immediate opportunities and longer-term positioning. A roll may offer a useful space for your own line, while also shaping which combinations remain worth pursuing as the game develops.

Spexxx ends when all players’ last cubes have been placed on the board. The player who has scored the most points wins, making every placement—and every decision about how much risk to accept—important from the first roll to the final cube.
