About this board game

Mech A Dream is a 2023 board game for 2–4 players, with sessions lasting about 45 minutes. In your workshop, you take part in the wonderful MECH A DREAM project, guiding workers through a daily cycle of three shifts.

Each day is divided into Day, Afternoon, and Evening. Workers are more or less efficient depending on the time of day, so the shifting schedule is central to how you use your workshop workforce.

The project follows a clear progression from gathering resources to creating the things that make dreams possible. Use your workers to collect the essential resources, then turn those resources into machines.

• Assign workers during the Day, Afternoon, and Evening shifts.
• Collect steam and electricity.
• Build machines with those resources.
• Use your machines to build dreams.

This sequence gives Mech A Dream its distinctive workshop theme: workers gather steam and electricity, machines transform those resources, and dreams are the final result. The changing efficiency of workers across the three shifts adds a time-of-day structure to every day in the project.

Designed for 2–4 players and played in approximately 45 minutes, Mech A Dream offers a focused tabletop experience built around workers, resources, machines, and dreams. Whether played with two, three, or four participants, the heart of the project remains the same: organize the workday and help bring the dream-building workshop to life.
