About this board game

Drawing Dead is a solo board game for one player, with an approximate play time of 45 minutes, in which you battle through Purgatory using poker hands, character powers, and a deck of cards made from your soul.

After a deadly saloon poker game, you awaken in the afterlife between worlds. Choose your character before play begins, then use that character’s abilities and upgrades as you attempt to pass through the three gates of Purgatory and reach the afterlife.

Each turn, cards are dealt into the river and enemy effects are resolved. You then draw three cards and use them to manipulate the river, unlock gates, and fill your bank. The cards you arrange are also the key to activating your powers.

• Choose a character with unique abilities and upgrades.
• Manipulate the river with cards drawn from your soul-made deck.
• Form poker hands to activate abilities.
• Defeat minions for rewards and bosses to level up.
• Unlock three gates and defeat the boss behind each one.

Build the right poker hands to trigger abilities and overcome the enemies standing in your way. Defeating minions provides rewards, while defeating bosses helps you level up and advance deeper into Purgatory.

In Drawing Dead, every gate brings you closer to escape, but each one stands behind a boss that must be defeated. Combine card manipulation, poker-hand building, and character abilities to survive the journey and claim your path into the afterlife.
