About this board game

6 nimmt! Brettspiel is a tactical tile-placement game for 2–6 players that plays in about 25 minutes. Players simultaneously reveal numbered tiles and add them to four central rows, trying to score points while avoiding costly bullheads.

The game includes tiles numbered 1–100. Each player receives twelve tiles, while four starting tiles are placed on the board. On each turn, everyone secretly chooses a tile and reveals it at the same time. Tiles are then added from lowest to highest, with each tile placed to the right of the lower tile that creates the smallest difference.

If a played tile is lower than every rightmost tile, it is placed after the row’s highest-valued tile. Landing on a space with positive or negative bullheads awards or removes points according to the symbols on the tile. Filling the final space in a row makes the player lose points equal to the bullheads on the other tiles there, after which the played tile begins a new row in the highest empty position.

In two- or three-player games, players refill their hands and play a second set of twelve tiles. Otherwise, the game ends when everyone has played all their tiles, and the player with the most points wins.

Good luck cards can turn certain spaces into positive scoring opportunities or bonuses. The professional version adds spaces and action cards that can let players draw tiles, claim a row, play anywhere, swap a played tile, or skip to the front line.
