About this board game

Mass Transit is a cooperative board game for 1–6 players that plays in about 20 minutes. Work together to get six Commuters from the Big City to their homes in the Suburbs before the journey is complete.

Each turn, players must play two cards. These dual-use cards can help the group in two different ways: use them to build roads, canals, and rails, or use them to move buses, ferries, and trains from one station to the next.

The challenge comes from the game’s limited communication. Players cannot tell one another what cards they have in their hands or share their strategies, making every joint decision more difficult. The group must coordinate skillfully without being able to fully explain its plans.

The game includes one Big City board, 52 Mass Transit cards, six Commuter pawns, and the game rules. Published in 2021, it offers a fast-playing test of teamwork where planning together is essential—but explaining exactly what you want to do is not allowed.
