About this board game

Thunder Rolls is a fast-paced stock car racing board game for 1–8 players, with games listed at 90 minutes and shorter races playable in as little as 20 minutes.

Each race unfolds across two distinct phases. In the Rolling Phase, players roll their dice pools and place sets of matching dice on racing actions. These placements provide track actions and Thunder cards, creating tactical choices as players compete to improve their position.

During the Thunder Phase, players program their Thunder cards to give their cars movement and unique driver actions. The result is a quick-moving race filled with the bump-and-grind feel of stock car racing, supported by rules that are easy to learn while still offering multiple options and strategies.

• Two-phase racing: combine dice placement with programmed Thunder card actions.
• Multiple race formats: play a single race, a series, or a full championship season of 10–14 races.
• Varied track conditions: compete on Short Tracks, Mile Ovals, Tri-Ovals, Superspeedways, and Road Courses, each requiring different strategic approaches.
• Full racing fields: every game features eight competing cars, including Non-Player Drivers that complete the field.

Non-Player Driver cards give the additional cars their own driving styles, while the NPD Action deck helps make every race challenging. Race cards and changing player decisions keep the action unpredictable as competitors respond to one another on the track.

A Short Track race can be enjoyed in as little as 20 minutes, while races on larger ovals and Road Courses are playable in approximately 30–60 minutes. With its changing race conditions and evolving strategies, Thunder Rolls brings the excitement of stock car racing to the tabletop.
