About this board game

Distant Suns is a 2022 space-exploration game for 2–4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Across three rounds, you will explore and map the galaxy while competing to become its most famous space explorer.

Humanity has discovered faster-than-light travel, bringing the distant stars within reach. As an ambitious explorer, you must venture beyond the known part of the universe, make discoveries, and earn as many victory points as possible before the journey ends.

On your turn, choose and write a figure in a free Exploration Zone. Your decision also forces your opponents to draw another figure in their own zones, making every choice matter across the table. Plan your exploration carefully as you expand your map and shape the opportunities available to your rivals.

During your journey, the galaxy offers a variety of discoveries and challenges:

• Encounter aliens
• Upgrade your ship
• Discover treasure
• Explore black holes
• Venture into the outer reaches of the cosmos

Each round contributes to the race for victory points, so successful explorers must balance their own progress with the effects their choices have on everyone else. The player with the most victory points after three rounds wins.
