About this board game

Blockits is a roll-and-write game for 2–4 players that takes about 20 minutes to play. In each round, players use the figure rolled on the die to develop their individual game boards.

Every placement presents a choice. You can position the figure to complete one or more lines, or focus on maximizing the number of blocked spaces. Both approaches are part of the game’s central challenge, so each roll asks you to weigh immediate progress against a more restrictive placement.

• Roll a figure each round.
• Place it in your game area.
• Complete lines, maximize blocked spaces, and create specific figures to score more points.

Scoring is not limited to finishing lines or filling your area. You also want to create specific figures for additional points, giving your placements another objective to consider as the game develops.

Planning in Blockits becomes more complicated because the game boards rotate from one player to another. A board that suited your strategy may not remain in front of you, forcing you to adapt your choices and reconsider how each new die result can be used.

First released as Juanito Blockits in 2022, Blockits combines dice-driven decisions with spatial planning. Its compact format centers on placing figures, completing lines, blocking spaces, and responding to changing game boards as you work toward the best score.
