About this board game

KAPOW! is a customizable dice game for 2–4 players, featuring explosive hero-versus-villain showdowns that take about 60 minutes.

Choose whether to play a superhero or supervillain, then begin with starting trait dice and unique abilities linked to your chosen character. Across six different heroes and villains, each role offers a distinct way to experience the game.

Your dice pool can grow with additional blank action dice. These dice have removable faces, allowing you to customize them to suit your character and strengthen the powers you want to use. Deciding how to develop your pool and configure your dice is a key part of preparing for the clash.

Every roll presents meaningful choices. You must balance the dice you commit to attacking with those needed for defense or powering up, while your evolving dice pool gives you new options as the battle develops.

With two copies of the game and the duo board/Sawmill Jackson expansion, KAPOW! supports larger formats: a 2v2 battle with two heroes against two villains, or a 2v1 clash in which two heroes face one mega-villain.
