About this board game
Who Should We Eat? is a semi-cooperative desert-island survival game for 4–10 players, played in about 30 minutes. After a mysterious plane crash, the survivors must work together to build a raft large enough for everyone to escape.
Cooperation becomes increasingly difficult as the island’s food supply dwindles and the group’s mental resolve begins to fade. The struggle to survive makes the other survivors look increasingly delicious, creating a dark and unpredictable fight between shared survival and personal desperation.
Not everyone is expected to make it off the island. The game embraces the grim idea that only the strong will survive, while forcing the group to confront how quickly its plans can collapse when hunger takes over.
- Gather and pool resources to build a raft.
- Endure a low food supply and waning mental resolve.
- Face the possibility of resorting to cannibalism.
- Delve deeper into madness when another survivor is eaten.
There is also something supernatural about this place. The veil between the spirit world and mortal existence is dangerously thin, and every act of cannibalism has consequences beyond hunger. Those who eat another survivor are driven deeper into madness and may awaken to a new, vengeful, ghostly presence.
With its blend of survival, semi-cooperative tension, cannibalism, and supernatural menace, Who Should We Eat? turns a straightforward escape plan into a race against starvation, madness, and the island’s apparent determination to keep its survivors trapped.
