About this board game

Fire & Stone is a 2022 Stone Age board game for 2–4 players that plays in about 60 minutes. Players lead their tribes through new lands, gathering resources, building villages, and seeking the most successful expansion.

Scouts move into unexplored spaces, where they encounter upside-down discover tokens. When a scout enters a space with one of these tokens for the first time, the token is revealed and its effect is triggered.

• Explore new lands with your tribe’s scouts.
• Harvest resources such as nuts and mushrooms.
• Build huts and villages across the discovered landscape.
• Develop tools and techniques, including ship building and pottery.

After a discover token has been revealed, it remains available as a player action, but with a different effect. This gives the discoveries a continuing role as your tribe develops and expands across the board.

New inventions can accelerate the growth of your tribe, while villages and completed tasks provide opportunities to earn victory points. At the end of Fire & Stone, the player whose tribe has earned the most victory points through villages and accomplished tasks wins.

With exploration, resource gathering, village building, and evolving discoveries at its center, Fire & Stone follows a tribe’s progress through the Stone Age from scouting new territory to establishing settlements.
