About this board game

Anno Domini: Lifestyle is a 2–8-player card game with a playing time of about 30 minutes, released in 1998. Players compete to place event cards in the correct chronological order while trying to get rid of their entire hand.

The game includes 340 cards. One side of each card names an event, while the other side shows its date. At the beginning, each player receives nine cards with the event side facing up, keeping the dates hidden during play.

Players take turns adding cards to a growing row on the table. Each new event must be positioned so that the row remains in correct chronological order. The central challenge is judging where an event belongs without seeing its date.

• Play an event card into the developing chronological row.
• Challenge the most recently played card instead of adding one.
• Reveal the dates on the cards to check whether the row is correctly ordered.

When a challenge is made, all cards in the row are turned date side up. If the sequence is correct, the challenger takes two new cards as a penalty. If the sequence is incorrect, the player who placed the last card receives three additional cards.

The winner is the first player to add their last card to the row while maintaining a correct chronological ordering. With hidden dates, risky challenges, and a steadily expanding line of events, Anno Domini: Lifestyle turns historical sequencing into a competitive race.
