About this board game

Supermarché is a solo grocery-store game for 1 player, with a play time of approximately 30 minutes. You own the store, and your goal is straightforward: make money while managing the daily challenges of keeping a supermarket running.

To succeed, you must keep the shelves stocked and buy food at low prices so you can sell it for a profit. Your customers are demanding, so having the products they want is essential. At the same time, food can spoil, creating pressure to sell everything before it is too late.

Supermarché asks you to balance several competing concerns as you run your store:

• Buy food at low prices to protect your potential profit.
• Keep the shelves stocked with what customers want.
• Sell your goods before they spoil.
• Try to keep the store successful rather than letting it go under.

The game was designed for the 2014 Solitaire Print and Play Contest, where it won Best Overall Game, Best Medium-Sized Game, and Best New Designer. It also took second place for Best Written Rules, recognition that highlights the strength of its presentation as well as its gameplay.

Supermarché was nominated for the 2014 Golden Geek Award for Best Print & Play. It is free to print and play, with the rules and components available in the files section. A Vassal mod created by BGG user Fumanstu is also available, offering another way to play this acclaimed solo supermarket challenge.
