Behind the Throne is a quick, simple card game for 2–4 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Set in an old kingdom, it places players in a struggle for political influence at the royal court.

Four powerful secret organizations compete for the right to rule. Safety, control, and economic dictates can be acquired through political influence, while servants, nobles, and dignitaries become important figures in the contest for power behind the royal throne.

Players collect sets of cards to gain new special abilities. Each new aristocrat under your control provides another method for influencing others, giving your collection a growing range of ways to pursue power.
