About this board game
Spyfall: Time Travel is a deduction party game for 2–8 players, with each round taking place in a secret location and the full game lasting about 45 minutes. Travel across remarkable eras and countries while one player attempts to uncover the group’s whereabouts.
At the start of each round, every player receives a secret card identifying the group’s location—except one player, who receives the spy card. The spy does not know where the group is, so they must listen carefully, bluff convincingly, and work out the location before the other players expose them.
Players question one another, answer with care, and watch for suspicious replies. A question that is too obvious could reveal the location to the spy, while an answer that is too vague may draw unwanted attention. The round becomes a contest of bluffing, suspicion, probing questions, and clever answers.
- Investigate a Neanderthal cave or a lunar base.
- Hide out in a WWI airship or Leonardo’s studio.
- Keep the secrets of Japanese ninjas or an unexpected Spanish entity.
These unusual destinations create opportunities for both informed answers and daring deception. The spy wins by identifying the location before their cover is blown, while the other players must determine who among them is hiding crucial information.
As a standalone threequel to the award-winning Spyfall series, Spyfall: Time Travel can also be combined with the other Spyfall games. It offers an easy-to-learn social deduction experience for groups ready to question, suspect, and bluff their way through history.
