About this board game

MOON is a 30-minute board game for 1–4 players about learning how a real computer works while helping astronauts complete their mission. To win, players must solve every goal card by placing its required combination of bits into register A of the CPU.

Each goal card presents a different bit combination to store in the register. During every round, you can perform as many operations as your available energy units allow, creating a direct link between your choices and the computer’s ability to process the mission.

The mission may also be disrupted by hardware failures. When problems occur, you must repair the affected hardware or search for alternative solutions. These failures add another challenge as you work toward solving all the goals.

MOON supports solitary and collaborative play for players working together to fulfill the astronauts’ mission. It also includes four RAM modules for competitive games, providing another way to experience its computer-focused system.

With its emphasis on bits, CPU operations, energy management, and hardware failures, MOON offers a compact game centered on the basic processes of a computer. Whether played alone, cooperatively, or competitively, the objective remains clear: solve the goal cards and help the astronauts succeed.
