About this board game
Infernal Contraption is a non-collectible card game for 2–4 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Players take the role of goblin mechanics competing to assemble magical machines before their rivals.
Each player builds an often-backfiring, nigh-uncontrollable device by strategically placing arcane components. The machines may be powerful, but they also bring risk, forcing these daring bodgers to contend with the unpredictable results of their own creations.
The game’s fantastical components include:
- Arcantric funnels
- Chthonic grinders
- Entropic processors
These unusual parts form the heart of the competition as goblin mechanics race to overcome one another with the ultimate Infernal Contraption. Its combination of strategic placement, magical machinery, and backfiring inventions gives the game an infectiously fun character.
Released in 2007, the second edition includes cards from the Sabotage! expansion. It also contains a special promo card for the Bodgers Game Heap, adding extra content to this edition of the goblin engineering contest.
