About this board game

Misty is a tactical card-drafting game for 2–5 players, released in 2019, about creating a magnificent window filled with drawings.

It is raining outside, and every window is misty. Players receive cards showing different designs, keep one card for their own window, and pass the others to a neighbor. This continues over 12 turns, as each player gradually builds a complete window scene.

The drawings do more than decorate the glass. Once the window is finished, they come to life in front of the players: balloons float up, vehicles drive out, and leaves fall down. Only some drawings can earn points, so choosing the right card is just the beginning.

• Draft cards while anticipating where they will move.

• Look out for the monster, which keeps trying to eat the flower.

The flower is the most beautiful and valuable drawing, but it must be protected from the monster. The shifting card flow means that useful designs may appear in an opponent’s hands before returning—or disappearing into another player’s window.

Winning in Misty requires careful timing and close attention. Consider which design benefits your own window, anticipate how cards will travel around the table, and keep an eye on the scenes being created by your neighbors. The result is a changing collection of drawings that comes to life after the final turn.
