Zero to 100

About this board game

Zero to 100 is a team-based trivia party game for 2–12 players that plays in about 20 minutes. The goal is not to know every answer, but to choose the question whose numerical answer will be closest to the current target.

Divide the players into three teams and give each team six question cards. Every card has a numerical answer between 0 and 100 on its reverse side, but teams cannot look at that answer until the card is played. This keeps every decision a calculated guess.

Begin with the 50 number card in the center of play. Each team secretly selects one of its question cards, choosing the question it believes will produce an answer closest to 50. Reveal the cards together, then compare their hidden numerical answers.

• The team farthest from the target draws a new question card.
• The other teams discard the question cards they played.
• The losing team’s revealed number becomes the target for the next round.

Each team also has three power cards to influence its chances. A power card can raise or lower a number by 50, raise or lower it by 20, or let a team discard an additional question card when its answer is within 5 of the target.

As the target changes from round to round, teams must adapt their choices and decide when a power card is worth using. In Zero to 100, a surprising estimate can be more valuable than a perfect piece of trivia.

The first team to have only one question card remaining wins. If several teams reach one card at the same time, they each guess the answer on their remaining card, and the team closest to that answer wins.
