About this board game

6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel is a compact card game for 2–4 players, with a play time of about 30 minutes. This 1994 promotional version features 24 cards and follows the core play of 6 nimmt! with a smaller range of numbers, from 1 through 24.

At the start of a game, players receive hands based on the number of participants: 10 cards each with 2 players, 7 cards each with 3 players, or 5 cards each with 4 players. Three remaining cards form the starting rows. The game is played over four rounds, with each round ending when all cards have been played.

Each turn, everyone selects a card simultaneously. Players then reveal their choices and add them to the rows in ascending order. A card must be placed after the highest card in a suitable row. If a played card is too low to join any row, its player takes one row, and that low card starts a new row.

• Each row can hold no more than five cards.
• The player who places a sixth card takes the other cards in that row.
• The sixth card remains in play as the beginning of a new row.

Collected cards are important because players score points for every ox head shown on them. The goal in 6 nimmt! Schnupperspiel is to have the lowest total score after four rounds, making careful card selection and row placement essential throughout the game.
