About this board game

For the Emperor is a two-player strategy duel that plays in about 30 minutes, challenging two ancient clans to overpower, outwit, and outmaneuver each other.

Across the game, you send your elite warriors to compete for control of seven battlefields. Every warrior contributes strength and brings an ability to the battlefield where it is placed, creating opportunities to build your position while disrupting your opponent’s plans.

Control is determined by total strength. If your clan has more strength at a battlefield than your opponent, you control it. The central challenge is deciding where each warrior will have the greatest impact and when to use your cards to shift the contest.
