Terrible Monster is a battle card game for exactly two players, with a listed play time of 10 minutes and a 2015 release year.
Each player begins the duel with four lives, two counter tokens, and a hand of five cards. The game uses a deck of 16 cards, giving both players a compact set of possibilities as they contend with one another.
On a turn, a player draws a card and may play up to two cards against the opponent. Played cards can be countered, and those counters can themselves be re-countered, creating a chain of responses during the battle.
